John Curley as a Red Bank Councilman since January 2003

       Fought and won passage of a resolution to place a cap on all

         municipal accounts

       Advocated zero based budgeting

       Requested 5 percent across the board spending

       Instituted hotel motel tax to help offset property taxes

 

As a hands on public official John Curley initiated door to door petition campaigns to:

       Stop the placement of a helipad on the Navesink River

       Stop a bulky solid waste station abutting a residential neighborhood

       Stop a financially flawed parking garage proposal creating potential

         liability for the Red Bank taxpayer

       Change the time of council meetings for greater public participation
